A friend of mine loves the designs of cats by Rosina Wachtmeister so I decided to create a picture in cross stitch.
After downloading a picture, I put it through a pattern creator, which I used as the basis for my design.
The colours I matched up using a colour chart, and I used a lot of different shades.
The cats and the sun are done in cross stitch with 2 threads of stranded cottons and the background in half cross stitch. The spots in the sky are also full cross stitches.
When I gave it to her, she was really surprised and delighted, and I too was very happy with the results.
I love creating my own designs but it takes a long time and a lot of patience, but the results are worth the work!
