It is a table centre - that's why it's on the table! However, it could double up as a lap quilt because it is backed with bamboo/cotton wadding - and is quite warm as I discovered when I was doing the hand sewing.
It was completely designed by me and all the patchwork was sewn by hand using the EPP method.
It is machine quilted around the stars and then along the rows of the border.
Obviously, it matches the seat covers and the triangles in the border repeat all the materials used both in the centre and the covers - 20 in all!

E' un centro tavolo - ecco perché è sul tavolo! Tuttavia potrebbe aver un secondo uso come copertina da usare davanti alla TV perché tiene caldo - l'imbottitura è cotone e bamboo - come ho scoperto quando stavo facendo le rifiniture a mano.
E' stato disegnato completamente da me e tutte le parti in patchwork sono state cucite a mano, usando il metodo delle cartine.
E' stato trapuntato intorno alle stelle e lungo le fila del bordo.
Ovviamente si abbina alle coprisedie e i triangoli nel bordo riprendono tutte le stoffe usate sia nel centro che nelle coprisedie - in tutto 20!
