A special wedding card

This is a reproduction in cross stitch of the wedding invitation which we received and was the theme  of all the stationery at the wedding.
It is done on 18ct. pure linen in DMC stranded threads.
The finished piece is mounted on a piece of Italian" carta di cenci" - literally paper made of rags, which was used in the past for important documents and is still used today for this purpose and for painting and drawing.
I gave it to them as a wedding card, with the congratulations inside, thus maintaining the original form.

Questa è una riproduzione in punto croce dell'invito a nozze di mio nipote che abbiamo ricevuto e che è stato il tema di tutti i dettagli scritti per le nozze.
E' fatto su puro lino, con 72 fil/10cm, con i fili moulinée DMC.
E' montato su un pezzo di carta di cenci che era già lunga per l'altezza del biglietto.
All'interno abbiamo fatto gli auguri per non modificare il disegno originale.
